I'm sitting holding a newborn typing with one hand, so no preamble today, just what we're having:
Meat Free Monday - Ploughmans Salad (baguette, leaves, celery, tomato, cucumber, chutney, carrot etc)
Tuesday - Wraps with chicken, salsa, leaves & soured cream
Wednesday - Spaghetti Bolognese
Thursday - Chicken Salad
Friday - Battered fish, oven chips & mushy peas
Saturday - Pasta Carbonara
Sunday - Roast Pork & all the trimmings.
OK 4thSister is in her bassinet napping now - so can I just say, Abel&Cole have got ASPARAGUS available now so I look forward to that with a salad the week after next! So joyful about food now I'm postpartum - have been snaffling camembert and goat cheese this week (with restraint because of my tendency to gallstones)!

Great menu but think the weather needs to warm up a bit here before I have a plouhmans on the menu
ReplyDeleteHave a great week
It's 15 degrees and sunny this afternoon in Nottingham - so for once I called it right! Wouldn't you know though, that the ONE CRUCIAL THING I forgot to order for today's supermarket delivery was cheddar cheese, which I also need for tomorrow's dinner :-) This is SO typical of me whether I've just had a baby or not!
DeleteHurrah for asparagus season!
ReplyDeleteAnd congratulations to you.
Sx
Thanks & thanks for the inspiring recipes on your blog :-)
DeleteCongratulations on your new bundle of love! I considered the idea of Meat Free Monday too, think I'll start that next week.
ReplyDeleteSounds a yummy week x
Thanks! I can highly recommend Meat Free Monday, seems to particularly work well after meals out/roast dinners at the weekend, it always feels nice and healthy to start the week on. And I see you have a fussy eater too, I'm always looking out for new tips for that :-)
ReplyDeleteI have asparagus today! I am going to snack on it, just because I'm the only one in my house that likes it lol x
ReplyDeleteI don't think anyone else is fussed in our house but me either, I absolutely love it though & will serve it with any type of salad :-)
DeleteOhh I do love a Ploughmans Salad...
ReplyDeleteGreat meal plan!! :)
Thanks, Kim. We often have a Ploughmans supper - have to say it wouldn't be the same without my (well Delia's!) Old Dowerhouse Chutney...
DeleteI'm looking forward to asparagus too! It hasn't appeared on my local marketstall yet but the first rhubarb is here so hopefully it won't be too long :)
ReplyDeleteOh - you had me at rhubarb....I think that's my utterly favourite fruit. I love the new fruit and veg season - dare I say 'Spring', people?!
